Family Friendly Weeks

Finally you can bring under 12s to Namotu!

For too long we adults have been keeping Namotu to ourselves but now you can bring your groms to Fiji on set weeks throughout the year. These Family Friendly Weeks mean you can share your favourite holiday destination and your favourite water sports with under 12s.

Teach them to surf at Pools, snorkel the reef and spend some quality time together. That’s what Namotu is all about – the people you love. So pack the floaties, gather tomorrow’s shredders and set the date, we’re ready for you.

Keeping Kids Safe on Land and in Water

We ask parents to supervise their children at all times. For example, if kids want to do water sports, parents must join in the water to look after them. Likewise, children need supervision on land. This can be either the parents or a nanny. If you’d like to plan for some care for your children, there are two options:

  1. Hire a Fijian nanny to care for them on land. At just $30USD per day this is excellent value and will allow you to surf, dive, SUP or fish while the children are cared for on the Island.
  2. Book a coach for the water. If you’d like your kids to have both supervision and education in the water, please book a coach.

FAQ

Namotu is a great place to learn to surf. Kids love snorkelling the reef, SUPing around the Island, learning to fish and playing in the pools. There’s so much for them to do!

Yes! Absolutely.

Yes, please enquire upon booking. You will need to bring cash ($30USD/day). Please note this is a Fijian nanny, not a water sports nanny/lifeguard.

Yes, wireless internet is available.

No, but a long sleeve wetsuit vest or spring suit can be handy sometimes for wind chill.

Yes, we can cater to a range of dietary restrictions, just let us know prior to travel.

It’s a good idea but not critical.

There is a small store on the island but realistically imagine you are in the middle of nowhere, plan for your personal needs, sunscreens, any medications, rash vest etc before you get here. We’ll send you a list of things to pack as a guide.

Please make sure you have your PADI certificate and bring your own gear if you like. There will be equipment available, however if you are particular, we recommend bringing wetsuit, fins u0026 snorkel.

Getting There

The best way to arrive is by plane to Nadi International Airport (NAN). You’ll be picked up by one of Namotu’s private shuttles and from there by boat to tropical paradise – your home for the week. Helicopter and boat charters are available at an additional cost.

Spend the Sunday afternoon settling into your bure, surfing, kiting and exploring the Island before the welcome drinks with your hosts at 6pm. While the weather is normally reliable, it does influence the day’s activities. There’s always something to do but the timetable is flexible to allow maximum enjoyment of the conditions.

Checkout is 10am on Sunday. Hop on the final boat ride home where you’ll be bused back to Nadi Airport or a destination of your choosing.
